Moving and relocating even under the best of circumstances is a very stressful experience. It doesn’t matter whether you are moving your four bedroom house of 50 years or your two bedroom apartment. Our expertise as full-service moving professionals takes the overwhelming out of your move.

Our Services Include:

OVERALL MOVE PLAN

Moving Matters offers all clients a free one hour in home consultation. This gives us the opportunity to look at the full picture from your perspective and get to know what you need and want. It also gives you the opportunity to know how we work and the kind of people we are.

DECLUTTERING

If you’re like many of our clients, you have lived in your home for 30 years or more, have put things away for your kids and have grandkids, stored boxes of old clothes and books, and now need to donate to downsize and move into a new residence. We help you go through the boxes and dispose of or donate any items that you no longer need.

SORTING AND PACKING

Once you’ve decluttered, we help you efficiently sort through and pack your belongings; labeling everything, so that unpacking is a breeze.

ESTIMATE VALUE AND SELLING OF ASSETS

If you decide to sell any of your belongings we will help you determine the market value and find buyers for the items. If appropriate we will set up an estate sale.

ARRANGE AND COORDINATE MOVERS

Moving Matters doesn’t have its own moving trucks. We work closely with several movers in the area who we trust and know will treat your belongings like their own. On move day, we are working with the movers, making sure everything goes as planned.

SHIPPING OF ITEMS

If items need to be shipped to family members or friends we’ll pack them and get them shipped for you.

FLOOR PLAN DESIGN

We help you design a layout that meets your needs, is comfortable and gives you ample room for your possessions. We can even make it look similar to the room design in your previous home.

REAL ESTATE AGENT REFERRAL

If you need to sell your current residence and aren’t sure which realtor to go with, we can find one for you.

SET UP OF YOUR NEW RESIDENCE

At your new residence we will arrange your furniture as planned and make any changes you want. We will make the beds, hang pictures, set-up computers, connect your TV/stereo/DVD, arrange your knick-knacks, and stock your refrigerator and pantry.

DISPOSAL OF ALL BOXES AND PACKING MATERIALS

When everything is complete we will remove all boxes and packing materials and dispose of them. Additionally, we can do the same in your previous residence including cleaning of carpets, housecleaning, and junk removal.

CLEAN-OUT OF PREVIOUS RESIDENCE

Once you’ve moved out of your old home, we will return to dispose of all items not taken including trash. We’ll donate whatever wasn’t taken and haul away everything else. In addition we can have any unneeded or unwanted items donated to worthy causes.
